Early stages of a build can feel quiet — because a lot of the most important work happens underground and behind the scenes. In the past few weeks, we completed several major milestones that set the foundation for the visible construction work ahead. This is the stage where the project shifts from site preparation to the first residences taking shape.
What we completed
We’re pleased to share that the essential groundwork is now in place:
- Riverbank stabilization is complete
- Sewer and water infrastructure is complete
- Hydro infrastructure is complete
- Development roadway is in progress
While these steps don’t always make for the most exciting photos, they’re critical. Completing this infrastructure work helps ensure the community is built on a stable, well-serviced site and supports a smoother construction flow moving forward.

What’s coming next
With the major infrastructure now complete, the next phase will be more visible.
Precast piles (first 7 residences)
Work on precast piles for the first 7 residences is scheduled to begin in July (or sooner, if conditions allow).
Foundations and framing (first 7 residences)
Following piling, foundation and framing work for the first 7 residences is also planned to start in July.
As with all construction schedules, timelines can shift due to weather and trade availability. We’ll continue sharing updates as milestones are reached so you can follow progress with confidence.
This project is designed as a rare offering: private, house-like living paired with the simplicity of a managed community — an appealing option for buyers looking for Winnipeg detached homes with the privacy and prestige of Wellington Crescent.
We’ll post the next update soon, including progress on the roadway and the start of piling and foundations.
